His laundry had most likely finished by now, only in the meantime darkness had fallen and the laundry room would be very dark by now, not to mention the stairwell. He cursed his foolish fear of the dark as he unlocked his door, only to hear the loud click of the lock noisily echoing down the stairs. It knew he was coming. Tentatively he stepped in to the dark, stood silently listening for a second.
